Tips for Treating Mosquito Bites

1.    Clean with Rubbing Alcohol

If you catch the bite soon, quickly wipe the bite soon with rubbing alcohol.  Alcohol has a cooling effect when it dries, and this can relieve the itching.  Be careful with the alcohol—to much can irritate the skin.

2.    Apply Honey

Honey is a natural antiseptic and antibacterial ingredient.  It contains wound healing properties.  It can reduce inflammation and also help to prevent infection.  Just don’t put the honey on and go outside!  It will attract more mosquitoes!

3.    Oatmeal Bath

Oatmeal contains active properties that can help to soothe an insect bite, allergic reactions, chicken pox, and even dry skin.  Add oatmeal to your bath or apply is as a mask to the bite.  Make a paste by adding a little water to colloidal oatmeal.  Wash it off after 15 minutes.  You can also add honey to the paste for an extra boost!

4.     Cold Tea Bags

Green and Black Tea can have anti-swelling and isn’t just useful for swollen eyes!  Tea’s anti-inflammatory effect can help with the swelling of a mosquito bite.  Soak a bag of green or black tea and then put it in the fridge to cool down.  Apply the cold tea bag on the bite.  It will help to ease itchiness. Pest Control in Arizona Mesa
